9/30/17 – The 12th annual Harnischfeger Park Fall Fest runs is being held today near Ashippun. Events include: outdoor musical entertainment, tractor-powered and horse-drawn wagon rides, an 1840’s rendezvous encampment, hunting retriever dog training demonstration and a kid’s zone with crafts, activities, clowns, face-painting, balloon art and a treasure hunt. New this year: a car show, antique tractor and farm equipment demonstrations, a silent auction and a corn maze. During a recent appearance on WBEV’s Community Comment program, Friends of the Dodge County Parks’ President Glenn Daily calls the event a good opportunity to explore one of the county’s parks. Admission is free but certain events cost money. All proceeds are used to fund park projects. Harnischfeger Park is located west of Ashippun in the Town of Lebanon at W3048 Crawfish Road.
