10/14/11 – Wisconsin’s Harley-Davidson is opening an office in Miami. It will be the new headquarters for its operations in Latin America. Harley, the Milwaukee-based motorcycle legend, said the new office will serve customers from the Rio Grande to Tierra del Fuego. Harley vice-president Mark Van Genderen says it makes sense to focus on Latin America. That’s because there are well-established motorcycle cultures in many countries of that region. Harley says it will expand in existing markets in Latin America, plus develop new ones. The company expects over 40-percent of its motorcycle sales to come from outside the U-S by 2014.
