(New York) Marquette Golden Eagles junior guard Markus Howard and Wisconsin Badgers center Ethan Happ have been named to the All-American second team. It’s the first time the state of Wisconsin has had two All-American college basketball players in the same season. Happ produced 21 double-doubles this season while averaging a team-leading 17-and-a-half points, 10-point-one rebounds, four-and-a-half assists and one-point-one steals-per-game. Howard finished sixth among the nation’s top scorers at 25 points-a-game. He topped 30 in a game 10 times and set a Big East record when he scored 53 against Creighton January 9th.
