Hackbarth & Czarnecki Win As BDHS Splits Cross Country Dual With Sauk Prairie

The Beaver Dam High School boys and girls cross country team split their dual meet with Sauk Praire on Saturday morning at the BDHS Athletic Field.

The Beaver Dam girls ran by Sauk Prairie picking up a 19-44 win.  Freshman Kylie Hackbarth took meet medalist honors with a time of 20:21.  Mackenzi Gritzmacher was the second BD runner to cross the finish line in 3rd place at 21:13.  Rounding out the Golden Beaver scoring was; Hannah Hallman in 4th (21:14), Riley Czarnecki 5th (21:46), and Angelique Vega 6th (22:14).   Beaver Dam’s Leah Burchardt (22:28.4) was 7th and Aleiah Pillsbury (22:28.8) 8th also ran in the varsity race.

Golden Beaver senior Gavin Czarnecki won the boys race in a time of 16:46 but Sauk Prairie took the team event 24-35.  BD’s Aaron Uhrich was 5th (18:50), Boston Damon 6th (19:04), Luke Eberle 11th (19:49) and Peter Kremsreiter 12th (20:13) to round out the team scoring.   Eli Titus (20:24) and Zachary Johnson (20:36) finished 13th and 14th respectively for the BDHS varsity but didn’t factor into the team scoring.
