Ground Broken On New Housing Development In Beaver Dam

(Beaver Dam) Golden shovels broke ground at the site of the future Stoney Ridge housing development in Beaver Dam Thursday. On location for the event were members of the Beaver Dam Area Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Becky Glewen, and several staff from Neumann Developments – the primary contractor on the project.

This includes the firm’s Director of Sales and Marketing Cindy Wegner, who has ties to the Beaver Dam area.. Daughter of Bob and Lila Koch, Cindy was born and raised in Beaver Dam, and says a lot of her relatives still live in the area. She says she is excited to bring some new homes to the city.

Stoney Ridge looks to bring in 60 new single-family homes, a task they hope to complete in 36 months. Despite issues with building supply availability, Wegner seemed confident in their ability to handle the challenges. She says their strategy is to order materials early for each home to avoid delays. This includes planning out the needs for each home type early while still offering a variety of floor plans to choose from.

Wegner adds that there will be six different floor plan designs within the development, and they hope to be able to put keys in hands of at least a few new homeowners by the end of the year. She credited Mayor Glewen and her staff for helping bring the project to fruition. Wegner says that the mayor had been in communication with Neumann Developers for years stressing the need for more available residences for families in the Beaver Dam Area.

Stoney Ridge is located near the intersection of Ollinger Road and Corporate Drive near the YMCA of Dodge County.
