Grothman Reflects on Passing of John Lewis

(Washington DC) Congressman Glenn Grothman has weighed in on the passing of civil rights leader and fellow Congressman, John Lewis. In a statement, Grothman called Lewis “a great leader” who “embodied the spirit of the [civil rights] movement.” The Glenbeulah Republican says that was “clear every day in his words and actions, courageously fighting for what he thought was right even in the face of adversity.” Grothman says he was proud to have called Lewis a friend in sending his condolences to his family, noting that he will be sorely missed.
