Grothman Hopes Supreme Court Strikes Down President’s Student Loan Forgiveness Program

(Glenbeulah) Congressman Glenn Grothman says he’s hoping the U.S. Supreme Court will strike down President Joe Biden’s Student Loan Forgiveness Program. The federal lawmaker from Glenbeulah feels the President does not have the power to forgive loans for up to 40 million borrowers.

The President’ plan would wipe out up to $20,000 in debt for each student loan. Grothman says things like that add to inflation which costs all of us. The high court is not expected to make its decision until June.

If the Supreme Court rules the Biden program illegal the administration could still try to reissue the program in a different form under the Higher Education Act.
