(Green Lake) The City of Green Lake is looking at creating a tax incremental district as a tool for redevelopment of the Heidel House property. TID’s are an economic development tool a municipality can use for redevelopment or development of an area. A developer Lighthouse Hotel Development, a division of a Muskego based firm, has expressed interest in developing the property. A few years ago the same group showed interest in developing the Mapes Hotel in Ripon, but that fell through. It will take several months to develop the TID, which would go into effect at the beginning of 2021.
