Green Lake County Authorities Still Seeking Information Surrounding 2021 Fatal Crash

(Princeton) Authorities in Green Lake County are still looking for information about a fatal vehicle crash that happened just over a year ago. On September 29th, a westbound Jeep crossed the center line and struck and eastbound Ford on Highway 23 near Highway W in the town of Princeton.

The driver of the Ford, 51-year-old Steven La Tour of Appleton, was pronounced dead at the scene. The operator of the Jeep, reportedly identified as 44-year-old Jessica Knueppel formerly of Fond du Lac, is facing felony charges of Homicide by Intoxicated use of a Vehicle and Second-Degree Reckless Homicide.

Green Lake County Chief Deputy Matt Vande Kolk says a man driving a red SUV that Knueppel rear-ended just minutes before the fatal crash might be able to add something to the case. He says investigators would like to speak with him. The man’s vehicle had an Agnesian or SSM Health visitor’s sticker on it at the time.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Green Lake County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-438-8436. You can also text GETTHEM to 847411.

Knueppel will be back in court later this month for her preliminary hearing.
