(Fond du Lac County) A Green Bay man was arrested last night following a pursuit and standoff with authorities in Fond du Lac and Dodge Counties. Fond du Lac County sheriff’s deputies attempted to pull over a vehicle for speeding on Highway 151 at 6:30pm but it accelerated away, heading south. The vehicle attempted to strike a squad car before a deputy utilized the PIT maneuver, ending the 14-mile chase south of Highway 49 in Dodge County. The male driver armed himself with a knife while law enforcement established a parameter, closed highways and began negotiations with the suspect. There was a female passenger and a baby in the vehicle who the suspect removed and held in front of him while holding the knife. The standoff ended around 10:15pm when negotiators convinced the 34-year-old to leave the vehicle. He was taken into custody and numerous charges are pending. No injuries were reported. Assisting at the scene was the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, Lomira Police Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, Brownsville Fire Department and First Responders and Mayville EMS.
