Great Beaver Paddle Is Saturday In Beaver Dam

(Beaver Dam) An event planned for Saturday will give residents an opportunity to learn how to kayak, canoe, or master stand up paddle boarding. It is called the Great Beaver Paddle. Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce President Phil Fritsche says the festival is a great opportunity to check out the lake. Those interested in attending do not need to own a kayak or a canoe. The Beaver Dam Community Activities Services will be providing one for those participating in the free clinics. Each clinic will take about one hour followed by a 20 minute “test run.” The Beaver Dam Lake Improvement Association’s Bill Boettge says those who attend will learn a wide variety of water based skills. The Third Annual Great Beaver Paddle will take place Saturday starting at 9am at Waterworks Park. The first 200 people who visit the info booth will receive an insulated water bottle cover.
