(Lomira) Governor Tony Evers is in Lomira today as he continues his state wide back-to-school tour. The governor is welcoming students, teachers, and support staff back for the 23-24 school year. Evers is expected to talk about his historic increase of funding for Wisconsin schools, as well as his plans to bolster Wisconsin’s teacher workforce in an attempt to keep experienced educators and school staff in the classroom while achieving and maintaining smaller class sizes to improve overall student outcomes. In his upcoming special session, Evers is proposing targeted investments in the states education workforce by providing more than $16 million over the biennium.
