Here’s our initial story posted on 11-21-20

Watertown kicker Branden Fischer is one of five finalists for the wissports.net Kevin Stemke Award as the state’s top senior kicker.

“Branden Fischer has been an outstanding kicker and punter for us the last two years. He was rated a 5 Start player by Kohl’s Kicking and Punting Camp this summer. He had a tremendous senior season for us. He had 11 touchbacks on the season, he was 5 for 5 in field goals, and his only missed extra point this regular season was blocked. He had field goals of 28, 30, 37, 40 and 48 yards. He averaged 45 yards a punt with a long of 55 yards.” said Gosling Head Coach Benji Kamrath. “ Branden has worked incredibly hard throughout his high school career to make himself an elite kicker and punter. He has put a huge amount of time in both in season and out of season to continue to improve his craft. I think he is just scratching the surface to how good he can be. I look forward to watching him compete in college!”

The winner will be announced next week.
