Glenn E. Luck, 90, of Beaver Dam passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at the Marshfield Medical Hospital in Beaver Dam.
Private family visitation and services for Glenn will be held at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with the Rev. Jim Wendt officiating. Interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens in the township of Trenton, Wisconsin.
Glenn was born on July 22, 1930 the son of Ernst and Mabel (Dinkel) Luck in Beaver Dam. He was a 1948 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. On November 29, 1958, he was united in marriage to Margaret Umland at First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.
Glenn had farmed in his early years. Later, he established Luck Trucking Company and then his brother joined him forming Luck Brothers Trucking Company and also K & L Trucking which they owned and operated for many years. He also had worked for Mayers Seed and Feed and Green Giant Canning Company, retiring after 27 years.
Glenn was a faithful member of First Ev. Lutheran Church; where he had enjoyed serving as an usher for 62 years. He was also a member of Thrivent. Glenn and Margaret also enjoyed socializing with their friends during their monthly breakfast club.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 62 years Margaret; his four children: Dean Luck, Sandra Klopotek and Jeffrey (Dawn) Luck all of Beaver Dam and Denise (Bradley) Seegert of Germantown; nine grandchildren: Nate (fiancée Emily) and Taylor Luck, Tarha (Eric) Feucht, Tamara Klopotek, Matthew, Hunter, and Paige Seegert, and Linzi and Mackenzie Luck; three great grandchildren: Wyatt Van Patter, Bennett Brenholt, and Carson Luck; and his sister-in-law Verna Hayes; also nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Reuben, Birdella and Gordon Luck, his daughter Lisa in 2020, his mother and father-in-law, and sisters and brothers-in-law and niece Lori Luck.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Glenn’s name may be directed to First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.
