(Wisconsin) Gas prices have dropped below three bucks a gallon in some counties in Wisconsin. Motorists who live in the Eau Claire area are getting the cheapest gas in the Badger State. Triple A puts the average in Eau Claire Wednesday at $2.86 a gallon. Sheboygan is also under three dollars, at $2.87.
The pump price in Dodge County is above the state average at $3.21 a gallon. Fond du Lac County drivers are paying $3.13. It is $3.11 in Columbia County, $3.20 in Jefferson County, $3.16 in Green Lake County, and $3 in Washington County. Statewide, the average is $3.11 a gallon, 44-cents lower than a month ago.
Triple A officials say the cost of oil edged lower on fears of economic slowdowns elsewhere around the world. They add that because of these factors, the national average for a gallon of gas fell to $3.52.
