10/16/17 – The deadline to register for a seminar on improving one’s green thumb is this Friday. The Dodge County Master Gardener Association is holding an event called ‘Gardening for Gold’ on November 4. Dodge County Master Gardner Chris Jacobs says there will be lunch and silent auction items to bid on. She says this is also a great opportunity to socialize with other gardeners from all over the state. There will be four presentations that will discuss topics including gardening myths, Christmas wreath decorations, and edible weeds. Jacobs says many gardeners believe weeds are a nuisance but do not know about the many uses they have. Gardening for Gold will be held at the Horicon Marsh Education Center located at N7725 on Highway 28. Check in starts at 8:15am and the program concludes at 3:15pm. Registration can be completed by contacting the Dodge County UW-Extension office at dodge.uwex.edu.
