7/28/11 – Dodge County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Trace Frost is settling in as the acting Police Chief in Horicon. As part of a contract between the city and the sheriff’s department, Frost will be spending about 20-hours a week in Horicon in a mostly administrative role until Chief Joe Adamson returns from his military duties in October. Frost worked in Horicon prior to joining the Sheriff’s Department and says he’s been trying to get re-acclimated. He’s replacing Lieutenant Adrian Bump, who had been the acting chief for the past few years before recently taking a position with another police department. Adamson has been on leave from the department for more than two-years while serving as provost marshal for the Wisconsin National Guard in Madison.
