Friday Wisconsin Department Of Health COVID Update

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials reported 774 positive coronavirus cases in Friday’s daily update. There are 9,575 active cases in the state, a decrease of 241 from Thursday. Active cases make up 1.7-percent of the 558-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 542-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded 35 deaths bringing that total to 6,267. Deaths account for 1.1-perecnt of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.6-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the two million-people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 493-thousand people have died in the United States.

Dodge County reported one death Friday for a total of 155 and 11,351 cases, a one-day increase of 11 positive tests. The county had 57 negative tests returned for a running total of 39,642. Health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 125 people, two more than on Thursday.

Washington County has seen 129 deaths along with 13,645 cases to date; 214 are active cases.

Fond du Lac County has seen 91 deaths, two more than on Thursday, with 11,865 positive tests on record.

The state says Jefferson County has 76 deaths and 7,801 cases to date.

Columbia County has reported an additional death for a total of 51 and 4,982 positive tests.

Green Lake County has 18 deaths with 1,520 cases on record; 13 cases have been reported in the last two weeks.
