Friday COVID-19 Numbers Update

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 3,235 positive coronavirus cases in Friday’s daily update. There are 38,892 active cases in the state, a decrease of 1,486 from Thursday. Active cases make up 8.6-percent of the 451-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 408-thousand recoveries.

The state reported 60 deaths bringing that total to 4,315. Deaths account for one-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.4-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 309-thousand people have died nationwide.

Dodge County has experienced 101 deaths, an increase of six from Thursday, and 9,875 cases; a one-day jump of 52. The county had 110 negative tests returned for a running total of 35,689.

Washington County recorded an additional death Friday for a total of 90 along with 10,797 cases to date, with 1,350 active cases.

Fond du Lac County reported one additional death yesterday for a total of 60 with 9,854 positive tests on record; 949 are active cases.

The state says Jefferson County has seen 50 deaths, two more than on Thursday, and 6,186 cases to date; with 471 active cases.

Columbia County has experienced 24 deaths and 3,967 positive tests; currently the county has 318 active cases.

Green Lake County has reported 10 deaths with 1,324 cases on record, with 106 cases reported in the last two weeks.
