(BEAVER DAM) Those with questions about their car seats can head to the Beaver Dam Fire Station Tuesday, September 30th. Dodge County Public Health is holding a free car seat event from 3pm to 6pm.
Appointments are required and there will be a limited supply of car seats given to eligible families.
If you already own a car seat, you can get it checked by a professional. Just bring your child, the car seat with instructions, and the vehicle’s owner manual.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, more than 11,000 lives have been saved using child restraints over the last 30 years. However, officials note that only one out of four child safety seats are being used correctly.
