Fox Lake Man Heading To Trial For Police Chase

7/21/17 – A Fox Lake man accused of running from police in the Town of Ashippun is heading to trial. Dylan Farber waives his right to a preliminary hearing yesterday on charges of felony Fleeing an Officer. The Dodge County Sheriff’s office received multiple calls earlier this month of theft and vandalism throughout the south-eastern portion of the county perpetrated by unknown individuals in a mini-van. As the deputy was investigating, another call came in reporting a vehicle crash on Washington Road and the description matched that of the van. When the officer arrived two bystanders who called in the accident were pointing north to a corn field. A van then exited the corn field and sped off. The deputy clocked the vehicle travelling near speeds of 100-miles-per-hour and was apparently able to identify Farber as the driver from previous contacts. The chase was called off but the suspect was apprehended later by the Oconomowoc Police Department. The 30-year-old was reportedly confused and lethargic after being taken into custody. If convicted, he faces three-and-a-half years in prison. Farber will be arraigned next month.
