Fox Lake Man Accused Of Murder Looking For New Council

7/21/17 – A Fox Lake man accused of murdering his girlfriend is once again seeking new council. Laverne Ware Jr.’s attorney Anne Bowe withdrew her services after Dodge County District Attorney Kurt Klomberg filed a motion to disqualify her from the case. The DA maintains that Bowe assisted in paying large sums of money to witnesses at Ware’s request. The mother of the victim contacted the DA’s office last month and informed them that she received a check from Bowe’s office. Five previously scheduled arraignments had been either postponed or canceled because of council and judicial changes. An arraignment hearing was scheduled for yesterday but because of Bowe’s dismissal, Judge Brian Pfitzinger granted Ware 30 days to find new representation. Klomberg said he wanted to move forward with arraignment because Ware is intentionally delaying the proceedings. Pfitzinger said he is unhappy with how the case is unfolding but cannot trample on the defendants’ rights. On December 4, Ware’s 27-year-old girlfriend, Sesalie Dixon, was found in the cab of Ware’s pick-up truck inside a Fox Lake garage with a gunshot wound to the head. Two others are charged with Aiding a Felon in connection with Dixon’s death; Ware’s mother Marjorie Jones and Jones’ boyfriend Vernon Mickey. The rescheduled arraignment hearing is set for August 15.
