(Fox Lake) The Fox Lake Railway Depot is a historical site that dates back to 1884 and was constructed by the Milwaukee Road. The depot was once a busy place for passengers, including resort patrons until the 1950s and continued to serve freight until 1970. City Administrator Kelly Crombie says the depot is now a museum and is used by the Fox Lake Historical Society.
“They’ve got quite a bit of Dodge County history there,” says Crombie. “They often hold little meetings, or events, or discussions on presentations on local history topics.”
Crombie says the depot is a great asset for the city.
