(Fox Lake) Fox Lake is investing $80-thousand dollars to open the aging city pool once again next summer. The city has $30-thousand dollars built into each of the next two budgets to pay for a new heater and resurfacing. The remaining money came from a variety of fundraisers and donations from the Waupun Memorial Hospital and Agnesian Healthcare. Mayor Tom Bednarek says with the amount of growth the city has seen in recent years, a pool will go a long way in helping attract and retain young families. Bednarek says a pool is an asset in a small community, just like a police station, a fire department or a school. The work is expected to be completed by the first week of June.
