Fox Lake Correctional Sees Jump In COVID Cases Following State Guard Testing

(Dodge County) A Dodge County prison has seen a large increase in coronavirus cases following on-site testing by the Wisconsin National Guard. According to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, Fox Lake Correctional jumped from 461 positive cases among inmates to 906 over the last week. There are currently 479 active cases while 426 have recovered. The facility has had 118 staff members with COVID-19. The state guard collected nearly 800 specimens at Fox Lake Correctional on November 30th. Dodge Correctional has had 679 inmates test positive, an increase of 12 from a week ago. Eighty-eight (88) cases are still active. The prison has had 140 employees confirmed to have the coronavirus. At nearby Waupun Correctional, there is currently one inmate with COVID-19 while 715 cases have recovered. The Waupun facility has seen 120 staff members test positive. John C. Burke currently has 14 inmates with the virus while six correctional staff have tested positive.
