Fox Lake Correctional Sees Increase In Coronavirus Cases

(Waupun) A Dodge County prison saw a large jump in coronavirus cases, according to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Over the last week, Fox Lake Correctional had an increase of 343 positive cases among inmates and that number now stands at 391. There are currently 360 active cases while 31 have recovered. The facility has had 50 staff members with COVID-19. The Wisconsin National Guard was conducting site-based testing at Dodge Correctional yesterday (Monday) where 516 inmates have tested positive. One-hundred-and-thirty-five (135) of those cases are active, down 108 from last Monday, while 380 have recovered. The prison has had 116 staff members with COVID-19. At nearby Waupun Correctional, 686 inmates have tested positive with 54 active cases and 631 recoveries. One-hundred-and-seventeen employees have been confirmed to have the virus. Both cases reported at John C. Burke Correctional have recovered.
