Fourth Person Circulating Papers For Beaver Dam Mayor

(Beaver Dam) There is a four-way race shaping up for Beaver Dam mayor. The latest candidate to circulate paperwork is Paul Scesniak, who has submitted his Declaration of Candidacy and Campaign Registration Statement. If all candidates are ultimately certified, Scesniak would be facing a field that also includes Alan Winter, Jeff Kohman and the incumbent, Becky Glewen. Candidates have until close of business on January 7 to submit their Nomination Papers. As it stands now, there will be at least one contested aldermanic race and one new face on the council. Ward 14 Alderwoman Mary Morgan is looking at a challenge from Michael Wissell. In Ward Eight, incumbent Jane Loizzo has filed non-candidacy and Heidi Freeby is circulating papers. If more than two candidates are certified in any of the races, a February primary would be required in advance of the April election.
