Former Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre Building Sold

(Beaver Dam) The former Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre building has been sold. Managing Director David Saniter tells DailyDodge that the new owner closed on the property today. Stephen Bennett purchased the century-old former Baptist Church on North Spring Street for use as a personal art studio. The non-profit has been in the community for 56 years and purchased the Spring Street building in 1983, which was their first permanent home. A year-and-a-half ago, the community theatre moved into their new building: the Fine Arts Center on Maple Avenue, a $3-million dollar, 24-thousand square foot facility with a 345-seat main auditorium.
