Fond du Lac Woman Being Charged With OUI Following ATV Crash

(Fond du Lac) A Fond du Lac woman suffered serious injuries after rolling the ATV she was operating in in the Town of Taycheedah early Saturday morning. A witness told Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies the woman and a passenger were heading north on Meadowview Road and rolled the ATV over trying to turn west on Safari Lane around 4am. The 36-year-old Fond du Lac woman who was a passenger on the ATV was not injured. The 28-year-old woman operating the ATV was flown to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah for her injuries. Neither women were wearing protective gear and alcohol appears to be a factor. The driver is being charged with Operating Under Influence Causing Injury, Operating in a Careless Manner and Operating an ATV without an ATV Safety Certificate. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is also investigating violations to the governor’s “Safer at Home” order.
