(Fond du Lac) Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says there is help available within the county if someone is trying to recover from substance abuse. She says the county has unfortunately seen a number of overdoses due to opioid abuse. She urges individuals and groups to take advantage of the Narcan training the county health department can offer. Mueller says they also work with inmates at the county jail to address drug abuse issues so they can continue treatment once they are out of jail. She says the county is fortunate to have a number of places that can help. That includes the county’s own Department of Community Programs and there is also Community Medical Services located in Fond du Lac.
