Fond Du Lac Man Given Prison Time For Fleeing Beaver Dam Police

(Beaver Dam) A Fond du Lac man was sentenced to three years in prison yesterday (Monday) for running from Beaver Dam police. Patrick Gipson entered a no contest plea to a felony count of Fleeing.

Gipson was wanted by authorities in Fond du Lac County for a hit and run incident involving a child two years ago. He was last seen driving southbound on Highway 151 when Beaver Dam police spotted his vehicle near Highway 33.

A pursuit began as the vehicle turned back to 151 and headed south towards Highway 73 near Columbus at speeds near 90-miles-per-hour. A Columbia County sheriff’s deputy was able to successfully deploy a tire deflation device which disabled the vehicle.

The 52-year-old was also placed on extended supervision for two years.
