Fond Du Lac Man Accused Of Voting Twice In 2020 Presidential Election

(Fond du Lac) A Fond du Lac man was charged Tuesday with voting twice in the 2020 presidential election. Edward Malnar is facing a felony count of Election Fraud and a misdemeanor count of Resisting.

The Wisconsin Elections Commission alleges that Malnar voted in both Wisconsin and Michigan. A clerk in the town of Torch Lake in Michigan reportedly confirmed that Malnar voted via absentee ballot during the 2020 election.

According to the complaint, the city of Fond du Lac’s clerk said Malnar also voted in-person that year. The 74-year-old allegedly admitted to voting in Wisconsin but added that he could not recall if he cast a ballot in Michigan.

If convicted, Malnar faces up to three-and-a-half years in prison. An initial appearance in scheduled for November 15th.
