Fond Du Lac Jury Finds Man Not Guilty On First-Degree Reckless Homicide Charge

(Fond du Lac) Following a trial in Fond du Lac County court, a jury found a man not guilty of First-Degree Reckless Homicide. Fedrick Ware of Fond du Lac was charged for allegedly supplying the drugs that led to a fatal overdose in 2022.

The not-guilty verdict was reached by the jury following the trial that wrapped up last Friday. According to court records, the judge severed three separate heroin and cocaine delivery charges brought against Ware in the case, requiring a separate trial.

A plea hearing is scheduled for April 19th. If the 50-year-old Ware maintains his innocence during that hearing, a three-day jury trial will begin the following Monday.

Those charges reportedly stem from two controlled drug buys orchestrated by a Fond du Lac police detective who is also a member of the Lake Winnebago Area MEG Unit.
