Fond Du Lac Health Officials Share Meat Safety Tips

(Fond du Lac County) Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says when it comes to preparing meat or poultry for your holiday meal, make sure it is cooked to the right temperature. Beef, pork, veal and lamb need to be at least 145 degrees. Higher temperatures are needed to be reached for chicken and turkey. At least 165 degrees. Casseroles should also be cooked to 165 degrees.
