6/3/12 – Two young Fond du Lac boys suspected of breaking into and vandalizing Chegwin Elementary School have been referred to juvenile authorities. Police Captain Steve Klein says school officials and a school resource officer determined a seven-year-old first grader and eight-year-old third grader who attend the school were responsible for the break-in. They used a screw driver to jimmy open a door to the school. Once inside they discharged some fire extinguishers and silly string. Band instruments were also found scattered throughout the building. They also took some money from the office area and used some of that to buy soda out of a soda machine.
