On Thursday April 8, 2021 at approximately 12:29 a.m. the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. This was on I41 at Townline Rd. in the Town of Eldorado. Once the traffic stop was attempted, the suspect vehicle failed to yield to the emergency lights and siren and increased its speed. The vehicle continued for approximately 5 miles before it pulled over. Both occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody without incident. Assisting with the pursuit were the North Fond du Lac Police Department and Wisconsin State Patrol.
The driver was identified as a 33-year-old male from Oshkosh. He is being cited for speeding and operating after revocation. He is being criminally charged with eluding, possession of methamphetamine, and felony bail jumping. The passenger was identified as a 30-year-old male from Menasha and is being criminally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and felony bail jumping.
There were no injuries or property damage as a result of the pursuit.
