Five Coronavirus Deaths Reported In Dodge County

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 2,384 positive coronavirus cases in Tuesday’s daily update. There are 28,761 active cases in the state, a decrease of 151 from Monday. Active cases make up 6.1-percent of the 474-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 440-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded 72 deaths bringing that total to 4,783. Deaths account for one-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.4-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 332-thousand people were from the United States.

Five deaths were reported in Dodge County Tuesday bringing the total to 120 deaths and 10,309 cases a one-day increase of 17 positive tests. The county had 84 negative tests returned for a running total of 36,477. There are 562 active cases as of Monday.

Washington County has seen 95 deaths – up one – along with 11,513 cases to date; 965 active cases. Fond du Lac County has reported another death, the toll stands at 66 with 10,295 positive tests on record; 608 are active cases. The state says Jefferson County has seen 57 deaths and 6,513 cases to date; with 380 active cases. Columbia County has recorded two deaths, for a total of 28, and has had 4,157 positive tests; currently the county has 182 active cases. Green Lake County has reported 10 deaths with 1,383 cases on record, uncharged for several days, with 95 cases reported in the last two weeks.
