(Fall River) A firefighter was taken to UW Hospital for a medical issue after battling a garage fire in the Village of Fall River over the weekend. The Fall River Fire Department was notified of the fire at 361 Fox Trail around 8:40pm Saturday. Upon arrival, crews found smoke coming from one of the garages attached to an apartment complex. Fire Chief Chad Jones says 22 firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze. He says the fire was contained to the garage and that its cause is undetermined. No other injuries were reported. The Fall River Fire Department was assisted by Lifestar EMS, Columbus Fire Department, Doylestown Fire, Rio Fire, Rio EMS, Fall River Police Department, Columbia County 911 Center, WE energy and Alliant Energy.
