Fire Damages Waupun Home

(Waupun) Fire damaged a Waupun home overnight. Crews responded just before midnight to 39 Taylor Street and, upon arrival, fire was visible on the exterior of the home and had extended into the attic. Personnel entered the residence and quickly knocked down the flames. The owners of the property, Cody and Tayla Braemer, were home at the time and made it outside safely. Some pets were removed during suppression efforts, none appeared to be injured.  The exterior and attic areas sustained moderate fire damage. There were no injuries. The scene was cleared after two hours. The cause of the fire remains under investigation and damage estimates have yet to be determined. Agencies assisting at the scene included the Waupun Police Department, Waupun Utilities, and Lifestar Ambulance.
