Final Day For Area Christmas Tree Pickup Is Approaching

(Beaver Dam) There are just a few days left for the Beaver Dam Christmas tree collection. Residents who receive contracted solid waste collection services from the city are reminded that this Friday, January 27th, will be the last day Christmas trees and boughs will be collected by crews.

Trees and boughs must be free of ornaments, lights, and stands so they can be chipped. They must be placed at the curb by 7am and will be collected one last time in no particular order. City officials says this special collection does not include other brush or shrubbery.

Citizens can also dispose of Christmas greenery, meeting the same criteria, at the yard waste drop-off site at 640 South Center Street Monday through Friday 7:30am to 3pm. Wreaths and boughs containing rope or wire may be placed in your non-recyclable cart for collection as they will not be accepted at the public works garage drop-off site.

Meanwhile, the last day for Christmas tree pickup by the Columbus Public Works Department is Monday, January 30th. City officials are reminding residents to make sure their tree is on the tree border by 7am for pickup, and that all trees must be free of lights, ornaments, stands and bags.
