(Rick’s Mom’s) Molasses Cookies
1 ½ c. Crisco®
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
4 tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
½ c. Brer Rabbit Molasses® (green label)
Melt Crisco in 3-quart saucepan over LOW heat. Remove from heat & let cool. Add sugar, molasses & egg. Beat well. Sift flour, soda, cloves, ginger, cinnamon & salt together; add to first mixture. Mix well & chill. Form into 1” ball, roll into granulated sugar & place on greased cookie sheet, 2” part. Bake at 375° for 8-10 minutes. DO NOT OVER BAKE.
