(Fond du Lac) The National Weather Service and Fond du Lac County Emergency Management are joining forces to hold the annual storm spotter training.
The training sessions will go from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3 at the Fond du Lac County Board Chambers at 160 S. Macy St. in Fond du Lac.
Attendees will learn valuable information about severe weather safety and the difference between what designates a watch and what designates a warning.
A meteorologist from the National Weather Service will lead the free session. Law enforcement, fire service, EMS, dispatchers, and other first responders are among the groups recommended to attend.
There will also be information on how to help the National Weather Service as a trained spotter. The goal is to help keep the community as safe as possible.
