FDL Sheriff’s Officials Credit The Bravery Of Two People In The Arrest Of Burglary Suspects

(Empire) Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials say the arrest of three burglary suspects last week was the result of the brave actions of two people.

Sheriff’s Lieutenant Chris Randall says an employee of Sabel Mechanical in the town of Empire saw two people wearing masks and a suspicious vehicle in the business’ parking lot when he went to work last Monday morning. They quickly left but he followed them for a while in his vehicle and was able to give authorities a description of the suspect vehicle.

A sheriff’s deputy on a medical call an hour later saw the vehicle drive by and pulled them over on a traffic stop. Randall says that took guts to pull over a vehicle with three burglary suspects by himself when it was still dark out.

Detectives are still looking for the tools taken in the burglary. They were likely thrown out along side roads in the towns of Empire, Forest, Eden, Osceola, Auburn, and Ashford. Anyone with information is asked to contact law enforcement.
