(Wyocena) A family was able to safely evacuate a house fire in the town of Wyocena. Read the full press release:
On Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at 7:12 PM, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office Communications
Center received a 911 call reporting a house fire in the 5000 block of Salisbury Road in the Town of
Wyocena. The caller advised the fire was along the roof of the home. The caller was able to awaken
the residents of the home and they were able to evacuate safely.
Multiple fire departments responded to this rural house fire including the Rio Fire Department,
Wyocena Bureau of Fire, Pardeeville Fire Department, Doylestown Fire Department, Portage Fire
Department, Poynette Fire Department, and Cambria Fire Department. Also assisting on scene was Rio
EMS, Aspirus Divine Savior EMS, Alliant Energy and the Columbia County Highway Department.
The American Red Cross is assisting the family.
