The Fall River High School boys basketball team dropped a 66-62 decision to McDonell Central in the WIAA Division Five State Semifinals on Friday morning at the Kohl Center in Madison.
Colin Vieth led Fall River with 21 points while Cullen Rauls added 13 and Shavlik Schultz 10 in the loss. The Pirates season ends at 26-4.
Fall Rivers only other appearance at the state tournament was back in 2000.
McDonell (29-1) will face Wausau Newman (26-4) at 11:05 on Saturday morning in the WIAA Division Five State Championship at 11am
Newman advanced to the state championship with a 52-42 win over Royall on Friday morning at the Kohl Center.
