JOB TITLE: Executive Director of United Way Dodge County

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Executive Director is responsible for the overall fund development, strategic, operational, and management of United Way. This role involves leading the organization in achieving its mission, and fostering relationships and growth of key stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Resource Development: Mobilize board members, community volunteers, and advisors to raise awareness, resources, and funding activities to meet financial goals.
Grant Writing: Seek, apply, and manage grants, including deadlines and required reporting.
Operational Management: Manage United Way and state reporting obligations and understand expenses and income position.
Community Impact: Monitor impact from nonprofit organizations, Volunteer Dodge, 2-1-1 Service, and ALICE reports to share with the community, donors, and United Way Worldwide.
Connecting and Networking: Connect with community leaders, volunteers, donors, organizations, and businesses to share stories of impact and grow brand and presence.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, fundraising, nonprofit management or similar experience
Minimum of 7-10 years of sales, marketing, or nonprofit management and funding experience
Proven track record of successful fundraising and donor relations
Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and financial reporting
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Proven experience as a volunteer or board member of a nonprofit organization
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and nonprofit management software
Dodge County residence or strong connection to county desired
Compensation:
Salary Range: $60,000 to $70,000 per year, depending on experience
Extremely flexible, work-from-home position, 20-30 hours per week. Incentives for fundraising goals met.
