Executive Committee Recommending Corporation Counsel

2/7/17 – The Dodge County Board’s Executive Committee has selected their top candidate to be the county’s lead attorney. Supervisors last week had an opportunity to meet the three candidates for corporation counsel. Kimberly Nass is being tabbed to fill the open position. Nass previously served as the corporation counsel in neighboring Washington County. County Administrator James Mielke says that she brought the broadest range of existing corporation counsel experience to Dodge County and that was the major factor in her recommendation. Nass will be providing legal oversight to all of Dodge County operations. That includes reviewing contracts, handling traffic and civil cases and also human services matters. Mielke believes that Nass will hit the ground running and will be able to work with the existing staff and department heads. The Dodge County Board will confirm the position on at their meeting in two weeks (Wednesday, February 22). If approved, Nass would begin her duties on Monday, February 27.
