(Jefferson County) The governor recently signed a $7-million-dollar contract to reconstruct Highway 12 between County Road M and Buckingham Road in Jefferson County. The project will reconstruct Highway 12 by removing and replacing the existing pavement, widening the shoulders, and adding permanent pavement markings.
The highway will be closed to through traffic during construction and detoured using Highway 26 to Highway 59. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses along the project corridor.
A meeting is scheduled for March 1st from 5pm to 6pm to discuss the upcoming construction schedule and traffic impacts. The meeting will be held at the town of Koshkonong Town Hall located at W5609 Star School Rd in Fort Atkinson. Construction is scheduled to begin on March 6th and will be completed near the end of the year.
