“Welcome Home” BDACT
August 13 @ 7:00 PM - August 15 @ 9:30 PM
BDACT says, “Welcome Home!”
Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre will mark the official reopening for full audiences at its BDACT Fine Arts Center, 117 W. Maple Avenue, Beaver Dam, with a musical variety show spectacular, “Welcome Home!,” August 12 through August 15. The show features Broadway tunes presented by a cast of twenty area performers. Director Ryan Klug describes the show as an evening “full of music, dancing, singing, snacks, and good times.” He expressed the excitement of the return to BDACT’s live theater with full, traditional seating: “There are so many unknowns about reopening our theatre. One thing is certain for many of us, and that is our need to get back on stage and perform. Our show will focus on getting back into the theatre, the uncertainty of the last year and a half, the losses and hardships we’ve faced, and optimism for the future, through well-known songs from movies, musicals, and the radio.”
As a transition to accommodate audience preferences, the initial performance on August 12, only, will be designated “CoVid Safe,” with general admission, required masks, distance seating, and no concessions. All other performances will be traditional seating with full capacity with no masks required. All shows through August 14, are 7:30 PM, with a 2 PM matinee on August 15.
Tickets can be purchased at www.bdact.org or [email protected]; at the Fine Arts Center box office, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 AM to 4 PM; and at Rechek’s Food Pride, 609 N. Spring St., 920-887-1907. The show, sponsored by Summit Automotive, is another step to support BDACT’s CoVid survival budget.
