Fox Lake Public Library Has
End of Summer Reading Program Event
The Fox Lake Public Library is having an “End of the Summer Reading Event” for the whole family. The event is being sponsored by the Fox Lake Public Library Friends and everyone is invited. This special event is going to take place in Riverside Park on Friday, August 2nd between 11 AM and 4 PM. It will have something for everyone such as rides on the river in the Fox of The River Voyageur Canoe. The canoe can hold up to 16 people at one time and will be taking trips south on the river and under the bridge. While on the Canoe riders will paddle the boat and listen to tales of the early Voyageurs in Wisconsin.
There will also be Face Painting taking place and Fishing. There will be plenty of fishing poles and help to “bait the hook” on the edge of the river.
Bill Begos, Caricature artist, will be present drawing Caricatures of children and adults in attendance. Bill is coming directly from Milwaukee to spend the day in the Park. There is no charge to have a caricature drawn but there will be a tip jar available for those who wish to contribute.
Large Yard games will be available to play and Don Kosnicki and his daughter, Becca, will be providing music for the day. Don and Becca are fairly new to Fox Lake and pleased to add their talents to this special event.
Free popcorn from Sam’s Little Red Wagon will be given out and hot dogs, water, and candy bars will be available at $1.00 each. It will be a wonderful day in Riverside Park and it is hoped that many will attend this very first Park Party sponsored by the Fox Lake Public Library Friends, celebrating reading and summer time fun.
